The Sand Bar Murder Mystery Tour is a five block guided walking tour taking you back to the 1920’s and ‘30’s in an area of town that was nationally known as the Sand Bar. As the tour begins you will hear of the murder of “shorty” and try to determine who killed him, as you progress through the tour. You will visit with characters from the era telling you their story of why they live there and do what they have to do to make a living during prohibition. You will meet a gambler, a bootlegger, a prostitute, a vigilante, and a crazed lover. As you visit with them, you can ask questions to determine the perpetrator of this Sand Bar crime. We make it easy with parking and end up back at the fountain where the tour began. You will walk away with a smile and an understanding of Casper during the prohibition years.
The tour starts at the fountain outside of City Hall. Reservations are required, call to book.
