Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is based out of First Baptist Church, and our goal is to reach and support as many moms in Casper as we can. MOPS International has been around since the 1970’s and continues to grow all over the world. Through friendships, creative outlets, and instruction, MOPS provides mothers with a safe and encouraging environment based on the foundation that “mothering matters.” Especially in Casper, where families often only call home for a short time, MOPS provides a place where moms instantly have something in common.
Our annual Street Fair raises the funds we need to meet the needs of over 45 mothers and their families in the Casper community this year. Our meetings provide a safe place for moms to make friends, be encouraged, and realize their potential in their many roles: as a mom, woman, wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
Last year we made the street fair a popular event for the entire community to enjoy. Promoted largely on radio, newspaper, television, and Facebook, we were thrilled with the awesome attendance that our ad campaign drew in. This year, we plan to double the size and exposure of the event with something for the entire family: a variety of shopping from local businesses and crafters, fun at the kid zone, and even a petting zoo sponsored by our local 4H Club!! The book mobile from the Natrona County Library will be there, as well as the science zone, and American National Insurance giving out safe kid packets to parents. We are partnering with Eastridge Mall to have our fair Aug 19th, during the Eclipse weekend!!
Together we can continue to improve the lives of many families throughout our community. “Better Mom’s Make a Better World” Mops International.
