On August 21, the moon will slip between the Earth and the Sun, creating one of nature’s most spectacular sights — a solar eclipse. The full solar eclipse, which will be visible throughout much of the United States, will be the topic of a talk by Rod Kennedy, Casper Planetarium Educator. As part of the Natrona County Library and Casper Planetarium’s Eclipse Lecture Series, the talk, titled “Geometry of Eclipses,” will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 in the Library’s Crawford Room. The lecture is open to the public and free of charge. Kennedy will discuss the types, mechanics, and frequency of eclipses.
