If you have never been to Wyoming before you haven’t had the opportunity to take in some of the sights, stories and historical locations that make this great state one that still leaves visitors in awe of what it actually took to survive the “Wild West”. From the early days of the settlers and pioneers that crossed the wide open plains in search of a new life, to the cattle rustlers and outlaws who roamed the prairies in search of hiding places or new bounties, Wyoming is a state filled with adventurous tales of survival and accomplishments.
Wyoming is a state that looks in many ways the same as it did more than a hundred years ago when a covered wagon or a horse was the only form of transportation. By joining us on one of our “Eclipse Edition Historical Tours” we will take you to some of the locations and share the stories of emigrant survivors and those of outlaws who were known to roam the state. Outlaws such as Butch Cassidy, The Sundance Kid and their “Wild Bunch Gang” as well as Tom Horn “The Exterminator”, Kid Currie and others were household names of men whose reputations preceded them!
You will have the unique opportunity to travel the same areas and see many of the sights that the early settlers saw, learn the relevance of why it was so important to reach certain areas of Wyoming in order to survive the trip out west and what the consequences were if the emigrants didn’t make it to the Casper area by July 4th. Our guides will take each group to various locations and provide our guests with the tales related to each. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available. Trip space is limited so book early to guarantee your preferred time slot!
Spaces for tours can be made on the 307adventures.com website or by calling the office at 307-333-4531. There are ONLY 18 spots for the morning 1/2 day tour and 18 spots for the afternoon 1/2 tour per day… so book early!
